The common mistake candidates make most this time
Our team analyzed over 2,000 AI-led interviews recently.
80% of candidates made the same mistake — and it wasn’t about skills.

It was this:
→ vague, rambling, or generic answers
→ unclear examples with no measurable outcomes
→ skipping over the “how” and only talking about the “what”

One example:
“I want to focus on growing my skill set.”
Harmless at first glance — but also vague, overused, and empty without context or evidence.

A few other patterns we noticed:
-Talking too long (3–4 mins+ per question)
- Forgetting to mention outcomes
- Over-explaining without actually answering the question

Interestingly, the strongest candidates weren’t always the most qualified — just the clearest.

What actually works (consistently):
✅ Be specific — talk about what you did, how you did it, and why it mattered
✅ Use real metrics or outcomes, even if they’re small
✅ Keep answers tight — around 60–90 seconds is a sweet spot
✅ When possible, mirror the language of the job description
✅ Ask a question back — show curiosity, not just competence
